Meet Lacey

This lovely, late teens, Belgian mare stands at 17 hands, but don't let her size fool you. Slow as molasses, she'll plod along safely and quietly wherever you want to go.

She has a comfortable, lofty trot and, though she'll canter, you'll need a strong leg and encouragement to get her there.

Lacey has a loving and affectionate personality and is a sweetheart. As a former Amish horse, she can also drive with a team and is as honest as they come.

Jolene is a 4 year old, buckskin-colored, appy. Standing at a comfortable 14.3, this brave girl is sound as a bell and perfect on the trails as well as in the ring. She WTC and doesn't break a sweat and we are confident she can go in any direction with her friendly personality and athleticism.

A handsome, branded, sooty buckskin Quarter Horse, Rico stands at just over 14 hands. He is kid safe, neck reins, and he's dog friendly, too! He has perfect manners and goes around like he doesn't have a care in the world. We took the saddle off of him (his withers are a little high) so he was comfortable and Ariel, who hasn't ridden bareback in years, said she felt completely safe on him and that it felt like she was riding her first lesson pony.

This flashy five year old crossbred gelding could be a show pony in the making! This cute little mover, standing at 14.2, just needs a few more miles to round him out and his excellent manners more than make up for his lack of polish. He WTC, stands on the cross ties, stands for mounting, loads onto the trailer like a champ, and picks up all four feet. 

A willing partner, he loves praise and encouragement and would thrive with a small adult or an experienced kid looking to build an amazing, lifelong relationship with a young, sweet horse.

We wish we knew who loved and rode this impressive gelding because we LOVE him. He rides English and western and excels at both, loves to trail ride, but can pop over a jump like he's in the Dixon Oval.

Zappa is a typical Appaloosa - strong willed and a bit ornery. We are suggesting an experienced owner and rider because while in the cross ties he likes to wiggle around, and when mounting he likes to circle around. It may be because he's been sitting for awhile but we want to ensure he's placed appropriately.

Once under saddle, Zappa has a beautiful WTC and goes into a frame nicely. He has great brakes, a lofty trot, and a super comfortable canter. Add to that his good looks and you have the perfect partner for showing or just horsing around.

Zappa picks up all four feet, loads, stands to be groomed and tacked up, and loves cookies. There are 17 videos of him under saddle because Ariel was having such a good time riding him!

Violet was pulled April 21st this year at New Holland. She is a bay Roan and is 14.3 in her mid to late teens. 

Violet is a sturdy, confident trail and ring horse that rides English and Western. After we pulled her, we quarantined her and she found a lovely home. Sadly, the woman whose lifelong goal was to own a horse found out she was terminally ill. 

Recently, we picked Violet back up and have been riding her. She stands on cross ties, stands for grooming, mounting, tacking up, loads perfectly, picks up all four and rides confidently. She's a sweet mare with a little sadness to her. I don't know about all of her brands (someone said possibly inmate horse or Mexican brands) but I do know she just has a distance about her, and when she was riding she was happy as can be. 

Violet likes to work, refuses nothing, and is brave and willing to do anything asked of her. She is safe, no vices. She just needs time to warm up. She's been heartbroken somewhere and is still holding that in her heart. She needs a good, solid routine and someone to ensure her she's home for good. 

We really love this mare. She is not mareish at all and wants to bond with a forever horse friend and her person. We think she's a bit lost recently and is still processing it. She has a lot to give and if someone has the time and patience to for her breakthrough, they will receive the incredible gift of a friend for life. 

With Violet, the riding part is easy; she's an awesome horse that likes to move out with good brakes and a desire to protect her rider.

Meet Bella!

A beautiful, 18 year old, 15 hand, registered mare, Bella is a princess who is definitely not ready for retirement. Sanctuary life? Not for this easy going, happy mare. 

You can tell Bella was once very loved. She is affectionate and loves connecting with humans, running from the pasture when called. She loves to be doted on and groomed, and once her surgery related ulcers were treated, she melted into the most kitten-like, loving mare in our barn.

Bella will be best for walking only rides. She is wonderful with children, loves grandmas, and would make a great husband horse. She is willing and smart, and her lovely personality allows her to fit into any farm. Bella's long pasterns make her move funny when she gets into anything other than a walk, so we recommend a walk only home. We tried corrective shoeing, stall rest, and exercise and discovered what works best for her is Serraquin.
